Lower Treave is a family camping and touring caravan site at the heart of the Lands End Peninsula amidst some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. The site is easy to find, situated just two miles Sennen Cove and within easy reach of all the delightful bays and beaches of West Cornwall. Heather-clad hills behind the site give views to the sea, and the chance to see some great sunsets. Beautifully maintained to show off the delights of the Cornish countryside, the site holds the prestigious David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation.
All the usual facilities you would expect of a four star site are available, including electric hook-ups for touring units, a modern, well-equipped toilet block with free hot showers, and an on-site shop, which will supply your daily needs along with calor gas, camping gaz and a useful range of camping spares. A washing up area, free use of fridges and freezers and a small laundrette with modern washers, dryers and ironing facilities all help to make your stay comfortable and easy. The whole site has wi-fi internet access free to all laptop equipped guests.
South Penquite is a 200 acre working hill farm situated high on Bodmin Moor between the villages of Blisland and St Breward. We are a demonstration holding for both the Soil Association and the Westcountry Rivers Trust, and as well as offering camping & four Mongolian Yurts we have facilities for field studies and opportunities for educational groups and schools to learn about local environment.
There is much to do and see on and around the farm which achieved organic status in 2001. As well as running a flock of 200 ewes and a herd of 20 cows the farm is exceptionally rich in archaeological remains and wildlife. We also have many horses, ponies, chickens, geese, ducks and of course our faithful working collies without whose help we could not run the farm.
